S H I V I K A's P O V —

It was morning as we all were gathered at the dining area, having our breakfast while chit-chatting. Having dinner with my family feels so good. I wish I could stay here all my life. With them, The one whom i can proudly call my family. But I don't want to become a burden on them. They have already done so much for me, which I don't think anyone could do in my life.

"Ishaan, why don't you kids go and explore the city?"

I came out of my chain of thoughts when rekha maa spoke and now all the attention was on her.

"Sure! I am free today, we can go. What say guys?"

Ishaan bhai said looking at all of us who had a wide smile on our lips except one, yes, atharv. I don't know what it costs him to curve his lips a little upwards? His face most of the time stays blank and most of the time I catch him staring at me. He was focused on his phone, not paying attention to the conversation.

"Atharv at least stop your work here!"

Avantika aunty snatched away his phone making him look at us, finally. His eyes got locked with mine and I felt a wave of nervousness rising in my veins. In all of us sitting here, why is it only me whom he had to stare at like that?

I diverted my gaze from her and started playing with my food.

"You guys go ahead. I will be staying here."

What? He is not coming? But why? I mean not that i care but it will be fun if more people will be there. Yes. I looked at him who was now asking his phone back from his mother who was not ready to give him back.

"What? Bhai please don't spoil the mood. You have to come, no refuses."

Nitya whined while holding his hand and waving it in the air while he gave her a done look. Nitya showed him her puppy eyes. She looked so cute.

"Ab toh vo chalega hi, nitu ki puppy eyes hum mese koi resiat nahi kar sakta. "

[now he will definetly come as none of us can resist nitya's puppy eyes.]

Arav jiju said while a smirk was dancing on his lips. Is it? Will he melt? I don't think so. But I was proven wrong when atharv sighed and nodded, making Nitya squeal in happiness as she gave her a kiss on his cheeks. He made a disgusted face while wiping the area where she kissed him.

The room was filled with laughter when he made that disgusting face. A chuckle left my lips seeing his reaction as well. He is cute though. But grumpy as well.

The last night scene flashed in my mind as heat rushed towards my cheeks. We were this close for the first time. My heart beat raised its speed as I gripped on my spoon.

"Shivi? What happened? Why are your cheeks so red all of a sudden?" I heard Sneha bhabhi say, who was sitting on my right as on the left, it was sona.

My eyes widened as I cleared my throat, thinking of an excuse. Think shivi. "Ahh, i ate the chili by mistake that's why i was feeling a little hot bhabhi." I smiled awkwardly while fanning my face as all the attention was on me. Even his.

Sneha bhabhi nodded hesitantly and passed me a glass of water which i drank in one go. My eyes traveled to his direction as I found him smirking?

I choked in the water looking at his smirk. I coughed to calm my throat down as sonali patted my back. "Drink slowly, shivu!" She said while patting my back as I nodded lowering my head.

Ahh, this is so embarrassing.

"It's time for Kiara to wake up, let me just give a check on her." Bhabhi said as she was about to get up but an idea hit my mind as i held her arm making her look at me confusingly. "Bhabhi, you stay, i will go and check upon her. I am finished with my breakfast too. " i wanted to escape his stares.

She nodded as i quickly rushed from there, hiding my flushed cheeks. Hash, thanks to kiara baby. I made my way towards bhai and bhabhi's room and opened the door before entering.

There was her, sleeping on the bed while hugging her teddy, looking so cute. I love kids so much. Their innocence, the way they smile, the way they look at us with their doe eyes, it's all so cute. They are the little bundle of happiness.

I sat beside her and creased her chubby cheeks and planted a kiss on them as she moved a little in her sleep. I glanced at the clock which read 10 am. It was time to wake her up.

"Kia baby!"

I whispered near her ears as she stretched her arms and turned around her little figure. Ahh I felt my heart melting. Soon enough, she opened her doe eyes while looking around the room, probably trying to find her mother. She sat on the bed while rubbing her small eyes with her small hands.

Her sons hit my ears making my eyes widen as I took her in my arms and made her look at me. "What happened baby? Don't cry, it's here." I said while rocking her in my arms. She wrapped her little arms around my neck as I stood up and started walking around the room with her in my hands.

"M-mumma"

She mumbled while still sobbing. The first thing babies ask for after waking up is their mom. I smiled at her antics and made her look at me while planting a kiss on both her cheeks and forehead,making her calm down.

"Don't you wanna play with yours ? Bua is sad."

I fake pouted, being sad as her eyes widened. She shook her head in negative and threw herself back on me, wrapping her little arms around me.

"Noi koala wants to play with chu!" (Noi Kiara wants to play with you.) She said with her cute voice hugging me tightly making me chuckle at her cute behavior.

"Aww! You are such a cute kia baby. "

I said while kissing her chubby cheeks as she giggled and hugged my neck tighter.

She is so cute, I wish I had a baby like her.

"Our babies can be cuter, miss avasthi. "

I heard a very familiar voice as I looked at the direction from where it came. There stood him, while leaning in the door and a smirk dancing on his lips. My eyes widened at his words as Kiara too looked at him. What was that? Did he really- oh my god my heart is about to explode.

"What did you say?"

I was unsure if I heard it right. What's up with this man? Did he hit his head with something or what?

"You heard it right, miss avasthi. "

The way he calls me, it sounds so hot from his deep voice. My cheeks were on fire again as I cleared my throat while focusing on Kiara's back. She pointed at him and looked at him with doe eyes, calling him near her.

"What is she trying to say?"

He asked, stepping forward towards me and kiara.

"She is calling you near her. "

He nodded and stood in front of me and looked at Kiara, trying to understand her actions. I controlled my chuckle looking at his cute reaction. "U-ntle come near me. " Kiara says as our eyes widen. She called him uncle. I suppressed my laugh but looking at his facial expression, i lost it.

I bursted into laughter as he gave me a glare. Kiara giggles looking at me and spreads her arms towards him. Telling him to carry her in his arms.

"What is she saying now?" He asked, looking at me as I was still laughing my ass off.

"She wants you to take her in her arms. You are so bad with kids. " I laughed at his behavior again. He can't even understand their little actions and was saying that our babies- ahem, i will pretend like i didn't hear that.

He nodded while glaring at me and took the kiara in her arms, very carefully. He is scared of holding her, i can say that by the way he has wrapped his arms around her little fragile figure.

Cute.

Kiara was staring at him with her doe eyes while he too was observing her with his nervous eyes. He was nervous of holding her in his arms. A smile crept on my face as I admired his side and kiara as well. They both looked cute.

How beautiful it would be when he will be holding our- what the hell! What do you think about shivika? Get yourself together. Ugh! The red shade of embarrassment on my own thoughts covered my cheeks as I shook my head.

"Why are you so nervous?" Even though I knew why he was so nervous, I still asked. He looked at me and took a deep breath.

"She is tiny, what if she slips from my hands? I have never held any tiny creature in my life before and I am scared that she might fall from my hands. "

He said all in one go making me chuckle at his antics. I placed my hand on his arm which was holding a kiara while Kiara had her head leaned on his shoulders now making him gulp. His body was stiff and straight.

"Relax, she won't fall. I trust you. Just feel her in your arms and place your head on hers. You will feel relaxed. Do it."

I said in a soft voice and the whole time, he was looking at me with his curious eyes. He did what I said. His posture relaxed as he leaned his head on Kiara whose eyes were heavy, she was sleepy again. Maybe feeling his warmth. A man's warmth is warmer than a woman's, which can calm the woman as well as the baby.

They looked like they were the father-daughter duo and not ishaan bhai. They looked cute together.

"Now close your eyes."

I said as he nodded and closed his eyes. Kiara was already sleeping in his big arms while her hands safely placed on his muscular chest. His face looked peaceful now. The frown which was on his forehead since the morning, was now replaced with a calming one. He looked peaceful.

" She feels so tiny in my arms."

He whispered with a small smile, making me smile too. His eyes were still closed but he was telling how he was feeling holding the baby in his arms. For the first time. I admired the duo and my heart felt peaceful looking at both of them.

Oh how lucky his wife will be and their kid as well. He may seem cold and reserved but there is a soft side of him which I don't think he shows to many. Kiara's slow snores hit our ears as we chuckled together. He opened his eyes and looked at her, sleeping peacefully in his arms.

"Give her to me, I'll make her sleep."

I whispered as he nodded and safely I took her in my arms and rocked her a little as she opened her eyes a little and closed them again. After rocking her for a while, I placed her on the bed and tugged her with the blanket, again to sleep. All this time I could feel his eyes on me. I shrugged off his gaze on me and pecked her little forehead and cheeks.

I moved back and my eyes fell on the door, there stood bhabhi, and sonali while they were looking in our direction with a smile on their lips which soon turned into a smirk. Were they here all the time? Oh god, why is the day making me so embarrassed?

I felt heat rushing towards my cheeks as I cleared my throat and finally atharv shifted his gaze from me to them. He gulped as well and scratched his nape with a shy smile which only I could see as he had his head hung low.

"Sonali, teri shaadi ke baad bhot jald humare ghar mein phir shenaiya bajenge lagta hai."

[sona, i think after your marriage we'll soon get to hear trumpets of marriage in our house again.]

We heard bhabhi say as both of ours, atharv and mine, eyes widened. I could feel myself turning red as my body was slowly getting heated. And this time atharv was in the same situation as me.

"I-i h-have s-some work to do. I-i will go now."

Atharv stuttered and while scratching his nape, he made his way out of the room at the speed of light, leaving me alone with the trio. Ahh! Atharv, I will kill you.

", what was happening behind our backs, shivu?"

" kuch kuch hota hai bhabhi."

[something, something, huh?]

Nitya and sonali teased me while coming towards my direction, making my already flushed cheeks more red.

"We were just playing with kiara, nothing else."

I said avoiding their mischievous gazes on me. Bhabhi was also with them. "Playing? Or making plans for the future with my daughter, shivudu~?" This time bhabhi said in a very teasing tone. I pressed my lips together to suppress the smile which was begging to appear on my lips as I lowered my head while shaking it.

" bhabhi, i-its-n-nothing like that. I am going to get changed. We have to go right? Okay bye."

I stuttered just like atharv did a while ago and quickly ran away from there with the speed of light. Or maybe

more than that. I could hear their laughter making me hide my face with my hands.

Ahhh!! I am so embarrassed.
